Privacy Policy

VenTrack helps you discover events happening across the United Kingdom, sorted by how close and how soon they are. We built the app to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: No account. No sign-up. No advertising. No tracking. We don't sell or share your data. The only personal data involved is your approximate location, used solely to rank events by distance.

No account, no profile

VenTrack has no login, registration, or user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information, and we do not create a profile of you.

Location

If you grant location permission, the app uses your device's location for one purpose only: to sort the event list by distance from where you are, so the nearest events appear first.

Your coordinates are sent to our events server with each request so distances can be calculated and the list sorted for you.
Your location is not stored, logged, or retained on our server after the request is answered.
It is never linked to your identity (there is no account to link it to) and is never used for advertising or tracking.
It is never sold or shared with third parties.
If you deny location access, the app still works. It simply shows London by default, and you can pick any UK town yourself from the app’s settings.

Saved events

Events you save, along with your app preferences, are stored only on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Event data

Event listings shown in the app are aggregated from public sources, including Ticketmaster UK, Eventbrite UK, and a hand-curated guide to UK venues. When you open an event’s link or map, that action is handled by your device and the relevant third-party service under their own terms.

Analytics & cookies

The app itself does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or cookies to track you.

Children

VenTrack is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights under UK data protection law

VenTrack holds no personal data about you: there is no account, your location is used to answer a request and then discarded, and everything you save stays on your device. That means there is no stored record for us to give you a copy of, correct, or erase. If you believe otherwise, or want to ask how any of this works in practice, email us at the address below. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
